Marc Pashley

Marc spends the majority of his time serving others. As a volunteer at Hope House, he comes in before clients arrive so that he can put on a fresh pot of coffee before he gets down to work organizing the day’s appointments. He also slugs groceries, stocks shelves, answers phones and works in the kitchen! He serves in any and every capacity that he can and never turns down a job.
Marc also makes a real effort to get to know the clients and staff at Hope House. He cares greatly for people and works to make everyone feel comfortable, talking with them and going above and beyond to ensure they get the help they need. He embodies the values of compassion and dignity and works to always extend those values to those who seek assistance at Hope House.
In the words of staff member, Karen Kamphuis, “Marc Pashley is one of the best volunteers I have ever had the privilege to work with. He is one of the most trusted, reliable, and hardworking people I have encountered. I really can’t imagine HOPE House without him.”
Not only does Marc serve at HOPE House but he also helped organize The Day of the Girl for the city last year and the first Walk for Water this August that helped raise funds to supply proper drinking water to overseas villages that do not have access.
Marc, you truly have a giving heart and the Guelph community is better for having you volunteer in it!
