Thank you Retire with Confidence Donors and Supporters

With thanks to the Ontario Government, PIN offered a free, 4-part ‘Retire with Confidence’ info series with the goal of assisting adults 55+ as they plan for or enter retirement. An ideal time to introduce connections, resources and information that help to establish healthy life decisions into older adulthood. Retire with Confidence sought to approach health from a holistic perspective and go beyond physical health to include financial, psychological and social well-being.

Through our work in information and referral, PIN understands the services most requested and are in a unique position to promote those services even before they are needed. Furthermore, the onset of retirement is a prime period for promotion of preventative resources that target risk factors often accompanying older adulthood, such as social isolation and deteriorating health. Through our work to promote and recruit volunteers, we are well positioned to help seniors find meaningful ways to engage in their community through volunteering.

The support of our community to this unique offering was greatly appreciated. We would like to thank the following organizations for participating as a speaker or information booth and to the donors who supported through food, drink and prizes.
