Community Dialogue – Volunteer Police Records Checks
On February 13, 2020, PIN – The People and Information Network hosted a Community Dialogue at Lakeside HOPE House inviting all organizations requiring volunteers to complete a police check, to attend a dialogue discussing an issue of crucial importance for 2020 and beyond.
This facilitated discussion led by Rebecca Sutherns and attended by more than 60 stakeholders, explored the impact if fees for volunteer police checks in Guelph were introduced and explored options, such as cost sharing, and what this would mean for organizations, volunteers and our community.
