Great Canadian Giving Challenge!

Volunteerism is a winner for community.

Help us build belonging and community through volunteer involvement.

As Guelph Wellington’s Volunteer Centre, PIN is the core connector that seeks to inspire our community to contribute through volunteer involvement. A key central resource that addresses the need of individuals to know where and how to become involved.

We believe that everyone has something to contribute to our community and we seek to inspire and connect individuals to meaningful volunteer experiences. We believe volunteerism builds belonging, inclusion and connection in community and that successful volunteer experiences plant the seed for individuals to turn into ambassadors and champions of people, places, communities and causes they believe in.

PIN’s Volunteer Network pillar bridges the massive and expanding gulf between intention and action on both sides of the equation – among potential volunteers and with the community organizations that seek to engage them.

Across the country but specifically here at home, PIN’s survey data tells us:

  • More than 75% of respondents are experiencing difficulty finding time to plan, recruit and train volunteers while providing services
  • Nearly 75% of respondents are experiencing difficulty finding time to develop new role descriptions and transition existing volunteer roles to virtual roles
  • More than 50% of respondents indicate there are not enough volunteers to deliver programs and services

PIN’s volunteer services have been a lynchpin connector for 20 years, now more than ever, volunteer services are vital. We know the road to recovery includes volunteerism.

Help us build belonging and community through volunteer involvement.

Every $1 you give in June enters us for a chance to win $20,000.
