FREE Volunteer Management Training
Volunteer Toronto has launched specialized volunteer management training to address the unique challenges facing volunteer managers across Ontario in five non-profit areas.
Volunteer Toronto developed the workshops to help volunteer managers increase capacity and better engage volunteers across five non-profit areas:
Festivals and Fairs
Hospital Programs and Associations
Long-Term Care Homes and Hospice Programs
Mentoring Programs
Sports Leagues and Associations
Areas of focus were determined through an in-depth needs assessment, in consultation with provincial associations and communities. Through a grant from the Province of Ontario, the specialized training is designed to equip volunteer managers with the information, skills and resources they need to continue making a difference through the effective long-term engagement of volunteers.

Training will be offered at 25 in-person workshops in partnership with regional Volunteer Centres across Ontario, as well as online via Ontario Volunteer Centre Network’s Learning Space.
Local In-Person Workshops:
March 7 – Festivals and Fairs from 1:00 – 4:00 pm in Fergus
March 19 – Sports Leagues and Associations from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in Kitchener
In-person and online training is FREE until March 31, 2019.
