Why can I not start volunteering immediately?

Each organization has a different intake process to ensure the best match between the volunteer and the position. We appreciate your ambition, but these processes are important to ensure the safety and quality of programs for participants. For this reason, you may be asked to submit a resume, have an interview, provide references, submit a police record check, or go for a TB Test. Read the volunteer opportunity description carefully to make sure you are prepared and know what to expect during an intake process.
