Employer supported volunteerism is important to Chantal

I love working for Royal Canin, a company that provides its associates with time to volunteer for great causes in line with our mission – to make a better world for pets.

For example, last year I helped to clean up a leash-free dog park sponsored by Royal Canin, and to install a bench in the park. Later in the year, my associates and I winterized the park for the colder weather. We created a safe and comfortable space for dogs to run and play off-leash while providing a clean environment for pet parents.

For me, employer-supported volunteerism is so important because it creates dedicated space for employees to give back to the community in which they work. It provides opportunities with the sole purpose of benefitting others. And it encourages like-minded colleagues to come together – as we did at the dog park (with our dogs, no doubt!) – to help build a healthier, safer community.
