Building understanding and capacity around volunteer screening and engagement

“Organizations have moral, legal and ethical responsibilities to the people they reach. This includes members, clients, employees and volunteers. Screening is especially important for organizations that work with vulnerable people. Vulnerable people may include children, people with disabilities and senior adults.” – Volunteer Canada

With thanks to the City of Guelph, PIN leads BestMatch; capacity building volunteer screening training and resources. Non-profits, charities and grassroots groups in the city have access to resources, consultation and training including newly launched volunteer screening modules on the PIN Learning Space, at no cost.
